About the Training Program in the Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center

Training through the Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center occurs at multiple levels, including undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral and professional opportunities. While some of these opportunities involve volunteering on projects, most who are trained through the Center are funded through either external or internal funding mechanisms. The main objective of all of these training opportunities is to provide appropriate field, lab, and educational experiences that prepare individuals in contemporary Prevention Science skills.  As part of the training, most individuals are associated with one or more teams of research scientists engaged in prevention projects. These interdisciplinary teams provide a rich environment for mentoring.
