The goal of his current work is to investigate how attachment style impacts responses to major stressful life experiences (i.e., bereavement, care giving, and a cancer diagnosis and its treatment). Dr. Fagundes has received early career awards from several organizations including: American Psychological Association, Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research, Psychoneuroimmunology Research Society, Association for Psychological Science.
