Schussler named associate editor of Mindfulness journal

Schussler said that she hopes to bring a lens of implementation science to the editorial board of Mindfulness by unpacking how mindfulness-based programs in schools are demonstrating effectiveness to identify what is working, for whom, and under what conditions.
Although mindfulness has moved more into the mainstream in educational settings, Schussler noted that “it's important that the hype does not surpass the science. As with any potentially beneficial intervention, we have to understand the essential elements of effective programs and how programs can and should be modified for different populations.”
