Sara Brennen focuses on using online and print communications to share the important work of the Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center (PRC) and its positive impact on people’s lives in Pennsylvania and beyond. She has extensive experience with content strategy development, web and social media management, content creation, and using analytics for continuous quality improvement. She enjoys mentoring and keeping current with an ever-changing communications environment.
Before joining the PRC, she served as an assistant director in Penn State’s Office of Strategic Communications, leading the University’s social media office and acting as a University-wide adviser on effective communications. Her Penn State experience includes roles as a multimedia specialist for the Office of Research Communications and web developer for the Schreyer Honors College. She holds an M.A. and B.A. from Penn State’s College of Liberal Arts and is currently working toward a master of professional studies degree in Strategic Communication through the Penn State World Campus.
